Seit Anfang Oktober ist Luca Perfetti Gastwissenschaftler am Institut für Angewandte Photogrammetrie und Geoinformatik. Der Doktorand an der Politecnico di Milano (Italien) entwickelt in seiner Doktorarbeit ein photogrammetrisches Messsystem, das die Geometrie von schmalen Objekten (Tunnel, Gänge) mit kostengünstigen Sensoren zuverlässig rekonstruiert. Nach einigen positiven Voruntersuchungen arbeitet Perfetti nun an der Prototypisierung des Systems mit Industriesensoren. In den nächsten sechs Monaten forscht er in der Arbeitsgruppe von Prof. Dr. Thomas Luhmann an der Systemkalibrierung und der Genauigkeitsverifizierung seines Prototyps.
Since begin of October Luca Perfetti is a guest researcher at the Institute of Applied Photogrammetry and Geoinformatics (IAPG). The PhD student at the Politecnico di Milano (Italy) is developing a photogrammetric measurement system that reliably reconstructs the geometry of narrow objects (tunnels, corridors) using cost-effective sensors. After some positive preliminary investigations, Perfetti is now working on prototyping the system with industrial sensors. Over the next six months, he will be researching system calibration and accuracy verification using IAPG expertise under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Thomas Luhmann.
